The Open Challenge Events Objectives shall be

To award Fly Casting World Championship quality - UK Fly Casting Sport designed - Gold, Silver, Bronze medals and Certificates to the individuals who finish in 1st - 3rd place for each Challenge Event held.

To qualify and welcome on board new  UK casters who's ambition is to compete in the next

 Fly Casting World Championships in Sweden 2020

To offer further competition experience to all casters under World Championships rules and conditions.

To encourage casters to attempt all 6 Fly Casting World Championship disciplines

To allow opportunities for all current UK Records to be officially furthered under 

World Championships rules and conditions

The format will see all six Fly Casting World Championship casting disciplines carried out over two days

to permit a time scale for essential discussion, training and rest between disciplines. 

Day One *

Trout Distance

Sea Trout Distance

Day Two *

55g Salmon Distance

15ft 1" Spey

16ft / 18ft Spey 

If attendance numbers are very low,  we shall run all six disciplines in one day and repeat the following day.

The Open Challenge winners results will be calculated by the casters achievements which placed them in the highest positions after completion of all six casting disciplines.

Following each discipline, the leading caster in that discipline will be awarded with one point, the second place caster with two points - etc.

The casters with the  1st - 3rd lowest total of points after all six casting disciplines have been carried out shall be the medal winners

 If caster/s choose not to participate in any discipline, they will by default, become awarded with maximum points which will equate to the number of entrants present.
