Fly Casting World Championships 2018 Update 21,02,18

Dear All
We have just received clarification from the staff at ICSF about minimum numbers for all open Women's events and the newly formed Veterans Class for both men and women.
For each event in each class to go ahead the following  rule applies.
There must be a minimum of THREE Casters from across TWO Nations registered to compete for the event class to go ahead.
We welcome this news as it should do as much as possible to ensure ALL events in ALL classes are filled and encourage more new people into this and future World Championship Competitions.
Please remember all events and accommodation on site must be booked and paid with UK Fly Casting Sport and Wyldecrest Park by April 30th.

For registration details please visit the Invitation to WC2018 page.
News Update November 2017

Following a meeting between the staff of Wyldecrest Parks and UK Fly Casting Sport on Wednesday 8th November 2017, we are happy to provide you with a heads up to some of the details discussed in order to give you more time to prepare for your stay here at Port Haverigg during next years championships.

The dates for the competition were actually set and released back in January 2017 and following on with the ethos of "readiness" we are working to open registration as early as December 1st 2017 and seeking to close it on 30th April 2018.

The excellent accommodation package which has been put together by the host company Wyldecrest Parks is based on four persons sharing in one of their high quality 6 or 8 berth units on site during the dates of the championships -
16th August-19th August inclusive

Please prepare to organise yourselves into accommodation teams of four for booking.

A fixed price package during the above dates will be in effect and is set at £60 per person per night, this package includes self serve breakfasts, buffet lunch and self serve two option evening meals along with entry into the Served Banquet during the Award Ceremony on Sunday night.

A separate price will become available for a "served banquet only" for casters not looking to stay on site.

There will be booking options available for casters looking to stay at Port Haverigg before or after these dates on a self catering basis.

The event entry fees for casters have been set at £20 per event and there is a one off registration fee of £20 per caster to cover administrative duties.

We firmly believe that £380 to cover an on site four night stay, all meals, banquet and entry into all six events at the championships is the absolute best and we trust you will fully enjoy your competitive experience here at the beautiful Port Haverigg Marina Village next year.

The link to the full terms and conditions for direct booking your World Championship accommodation package with  Wyldecrest Parks plus the details for event entry booking direct with UK Fly Casting Sport will become available on our WC2018 page on December 1st 2017.

Note : UK casters as asked to please refrain from attempting to book or register until after the Record Breakers period ends at the end of February 2018
